Piles treatment in Bangalore

Bleeding, itching or a lump can have more than one cause. An examination helps identify the right treatment. Consult Dr Richa Mishra, female general and GI surgeon in Bengaluru, for an individual assessment.

Discuss your concern

What are piles?

Haemorrhoids are swollen blood vessels around the anus or in the lower rectum. Symptoms may include bleeding, itching, discomfort or a lump.

Why get symptoms checked?

Rectal bleeding is not always caused by piles. Your clinician may examine you and arrange further assessment depending on your symptoms and history.

Does treatment always mean surgery?

No. Dietary and toilet-habit changes may help. Persistent symptoms may need an office procedure or an operation, depending on the type and severity.

Choosing a procedure

Ask which options fit your findings, including their benefits, pain, recurrence and complications. A technique should be selected for your condition; the name of a technology alone does not establish the best treatment.

What should I discuss afterwards?

Ask about bowel movements, wound care, pain relief and follow-up. Your clinician should tailor instructions to your treatment.

When is it urgent?

Heavy bleeding, faintness, or fever with severe anal pain needs urgent assessment. Persistent bleeding also needs medical review.
